Recommendations for David Austin roses that are ideal for pegging

Hi

I’d like to try and peg some roses next year, but can see that some roses have much more pliable canes than others.

I’d love to hear from others which roses they think are best suited to this - preferably DA roses as they are of good quality.

thankyou.

Have a look on the DA site and look for climbing roses that are suitable for arches and obelisks. These should be pliable enough tto train when the canes are young. Narrow down by size, colour, health, bloom type and flowering habit. Roses listed for walls and house fronts tend to grow straight up and be less bendy, though this is not always true.

The DA filter function does miss out quite a few of their catalogue, but it might give you a sense of the choices. If you have a colour choice in mind to start, this will help with the decision.
