Amelanchier Rainbow Pillar

Hello

I purchased the above tree as a 2 year old last year. I have it a pot that I am planning to upsize next year. It has still got its stake. Leaves are doing funny things and I wondered if someone could help diagnose please.

Thank you.

I wonder if it's due to not enough water ? How big is the pot ?
This question rang a bell with me and l found this thread from last year

  • It was supplied as a 12L specimen last year and I planted it in a pot that was about 2 inches bigger circumferentially. Thank you for the link to the previous thread last year- the brown spots look slightly different no? But yes I have been more relaxed with the watering this year- as I assumed they would have hardened off by now. Perhaps that was not the right assumption to make. I will up the watering schedule and see if that helps.

You can't 'harden off' plants to need less water than they need. They need what they need and anything less will cause harm to them.
