Dutch Iris - Wilting

My Dutch iris’s this year are not performing as well as in past years. These are new bulbs planted last Autumn.
Is it because of the mini heat wave? Or are they over watered? Something else.
Or is it just a case of they are past their best (they’re 3 days old)
