Peony Seed head advice

Good Morning, would you recommend to remove the seed heads from this single flower Peony please? In previous years I have left them on, but wanted to check if this was the right thing to do. Many thanks

    I'd remove them. It just diverts energy from the plant  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thank you very much @Fairygirl, would you cut the stem right back, or is it enough just to snip the seed heads off?

    I usually take the stem right back to a leaf joint  :)

    One of our tree peony always has many seed heads and we leave them.
    The seeds then germinate the next year and we have been able to plant them up and pass them onto friends to grow on in their gardens.

    I have removed the seed heads on this plant as per fairygirls advice, but that is good to know @bertrand-mabel thank you.

    It takes a very long time to germinate seeds from herbaceous peonies, and grow them into viable plants. Most people would divide rather than do that. Perhaps in warmer areas they're easier  :)
