Leyland Cypress dieback
I have a row of 13 Leyland Cypress in my garden that I planted 3.5 years ago as a screening hedge.
The trees have grown well but this spring after the weird weather we had (London - really hot start to spring, then freezing torrential rain in May), I noticed some of the leaves turning brown and dry at the tips, and would just brush straight off. This affected all of the trees at the same time.

I started researching online and learned about the dreaded seiridium canker.
Upon closer inspection I noticed that one of the trees was weeping sap, a couple had long thin wounds on the main trunk and another had a wound on the underside of a branch.

I am a total novice but reading about cypress canker has now got me paranoid that all my trees are about to die.
I brushed off all the brown bits and now the bottom third of the trees are growing healthily and vigorously, but the middle third of the tree is now affected.

Overall the trees look quite healthy. So I don't know if this is to do with the weird weather we had, lack of water, insects or... the dreaded canker.
Please help!
