Plant identity needed

I am relatively new to gardening. I bought this plant as a tiny "stick" from a high street discount shop 😌 around early March i think . I have looked after it to the best of my ability and it seems to be doing well. However it was labelled as potentilla fruticosa. I have been told it is definitely not! I put the image on google lens and it is coming up with either a eucalyptus  or a snowberry plant?? Any ideas? Many thanks

It does look like a snowberry.

    I think it's a snowberry.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

If it’s eucalyptus then the leaves will smell if you tear one up. Otherwise I agree it looks like snowberry - very hard to get rid of in my garden.
  • No smell to it. So i will treat it as a snowberry. Thanks for your replies.

Yes, snowberry. It's an absolute thug. If you plant it in the ground, be prepared for it to make a huge thicket, spread underground and pop up all over the place. I'd be inclined to bin it, myself.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
