House plant - string of pearls - help

Hello,
I’m pretty sure I know the answer but I bought this string of pearls plant 1 month/6 weeks ago. I have watered it twice - is it already done for?

    Try placing the remaining green bits in contact with a new pot of soil, they may put out roots. Don’t cut off from the mother plant as they may still be getting a little from it.
    Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
