Indoor olive tree

Hello all,
I bought an olive tree last year that is kept indoors. It got hit by vine weevils last year who ravaged many of the leaves. I now treat the tree for them and I have plenty of fresh new leaves. I have just noticed something in the branches and wonder if this is some form of parasite. I do not have the greenest of fingers!  I have taken a photograph below and wonder I’d anyone can identify what these are and whether I should be concerned. I love the tree but have no clue what I am doing.
Many thank for your help!!!

    They look like scale insects.
you can probably brush them off with a toothbrush or wipe them off with a cloth, but from under those shells lots more will hatch, so sooner the better
