Problem Plum Tree

Hi I acquired a Victoria plum tree from my mother in law last Sunday. She sprayed it with water to get the aphids off but it was extremely sunny. The leaves had wilted a bit. A week on I have re-potted it but the leaves are going brown and curly. I have watered it regularly but not fed it.
