can any one  tell me the name of a plant  like a small holly bush

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but some Osmanthus varieties have holly-like foliage. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    There's also Berberis darwinii - its leaves are a bit holly-like but a lot smaller.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Desfontainea spinosa resembles a small-leaved Holly ; that is until it flowers !

    I am confused.
    Are you trying to id a plant that looks like Holly?
    In which case a pic would really help.
    Or
    Are you wanting to buy a plant that looks like Holly?
    ...if this is the case then size may vary.
    Holly can grow into huge trees...is this what you want?
