Think my yucca is dying!!

Hi there,

So I inherited this yucca from our neighbour when we moved house, it was in mid sun position, we have it in a full sun position but over the last 6 weeks it’s steadily got worse and worse, leaves browning etc, I’ve been taking off the dead ones but it hasn’t improved. It fell over a couple of times due to wind which probably hasn’t helped. Any tips to rescue it, seems a huge shame as it’s pretty large.

Are you letting the soil dry out between waterings?  I think you can just cut the tops off and it will regrow from the canes.. but hopefully someone will have better advice.  That will only work if the roots are in good shape.  I'm wondering if the foliage just got burnt by sun and wind exposure.. it was used to shade and shelter, and then wasn't tough enough for it's new location.
