Mole in new border!

Hi does anyone have any experience of moles in flower border? I’ve got one in my newly dug and planted border. Is it likely they will kill plants with their tunnelling?

    Yes had trouble.

    Planted young shrubs. Planted with every care, watered really well. Then they died.
    When dead shrub removed found mole had been round nice damp soil ..in search of worms no doubt and shrub roots left exposed to dry out completely.
    A nuisance.
    But if you kill one  mole more will just come to fill the empty territory.

    Tried sonic deterrents at great expense...batteries didn't last very long.
    Complete waste of money . Mole runs went straight past the side of them.

    Thankyou I’ll try the onions!! Got some windmills too see if the noise puts them off. Thoroughly depressing having spent so much time and money on it for it to possibly be ruined! Typically didn’t get moles before!
