Plant identification and care

Hello. Could you please identify these two plants and advise me on how to care for them going forward. Thank you.

    The purple flowers are chives and are very easy to care for, just make sure they don't dry out too much.

    With your chives, you may wish to let them self-seed everywhere. Otherwise, you could cut them right back after flowering and you'll get some lovely new growth ready for eating.

    1. Looks like a dwarf Rhododendron...one more commonly called Azalea
    Would be happier in more shade/sheltered from hot sun.
    2 Agree...Allium schoenoprasum,..common name chives.

    The first photo looks like an Azalea shrub. The ones in your pot tend to stay quite small, so useful grown in a container. They need neutral to acidic soil, so ensure you mix in ericaceous compost with a loam-based compost. Keep somewhere semi-shaded and well watered through the summer months. Hopefully next spring you will see flowers.
