Name of an old single white HT type rose

When I was a child in the mid 1950s we moved to a farm in Suffolk ... the garden was pretty run down but it had a bed of  five or six HT roses that I think had been there a while ... Ma was pretty sure one of them was Peace ... one of the others had large single white blooms with rich mahogany-red stamens ... I loved it but we never knew what it was and I've never seen one like it.  It was scented, but not hugely so.  The buds were elegant and pointed and as I remember the foliage was fairly dark ... but I might be wrong about that.

Googling 'single white HT rose' doesn't really yield anything ...

Anyone got any ideas?

Well .... surprise surprise ... I've found it .... more searches using a different search engine and using search terms in a different order gave me this ...

I'm sure this is the one ...... I'm amazed at how well my childhood memory of it compares with the description on the website .... it's a beautiful rose ... does anyone here know it?

Its very pretty My mum used to have the "Iceberg" it was a pretty reliable white flowerer. She also had a very dark red HT type that we used to mash the petals up to make "perfume" which turned brown and nasty by the following day.

Looks lovely. How nice that you were able to track it down - are you going to get it? Isn't the internet wonderful?

It is indeed very wonderful in very many ways @Pianoplayer 😉

I doubt if I’ll grow White Wings ... I don’t really have the right sort of spot for a HT. .., but I am glad to know its name and especially pleased to confirm that my memory of the rose that I loved as a primary aged child was so accurate. 😊
