Choisya dried up flowers

I have a choisya (mexican orange?) which has always thrived. This year it has flowered but the middle of every set of buds is brown and crumbly dry in the middle. I can't see any insects. The leaves are generally fine and it is putting out new shoots.

It doesn't look like any pest or disease. I reckon it's just weather related. It could be cold wind or cold night temperatures after a period of warm weather. Even very heavy rain/storm can also cause similar damage.

Thank you. That's reassuring. It was flowering before the very cold week we had here in the South East.
