Cornus Kousa not flowering!

I would appreciate advise/info as to why in nearly 4 years my Cornus Kousa has not had flowers/bracts.  It is lovely in full leaf and seems happy in large pot.

    Cornus kousa are naturally a tree..a medium size tree.
    It will never be as happy in a pot as in the ground.
