I have to wait until it flowers. The stems are round rather than triangular and the leaves when crushed don’t smell of onion or garlic. So I’m still stumped. I was starting to think I could eat them.

I thought I’d come back to update now that they’ve flowered, if anyone’s interested.
Anyone else grow these. I’ve just cut some for the vase along with rose and hebes.

Thank you so much for the update
Agree Triteleia,  so dainty and cute.
Mine have seeded around which is wonderful.

Thanks both for the name. This one seems to have quite a few other names including grassnut for some reason. I’d love these to spread. They have very long grassy leaves to begin with but these have lessened as the flowers appear.

They cannot spread if you go cutting them to put in a vase!

So they spread by seeds rather than bulblets? I’ll leave enough in the garden to grow on.
