What is the best cat and kids friendly treatment to solve my caterpillar problem?

    There is a product called XenTari which is a bioloogical control, so safe for children pets (and bees). Don't forget to give the box a good feed to help them recover.

    I’ve used Xentari and it worked for me. Just a note the effects are gradual and not instant. I dissolve the granules in water and spray using a 2L pressurised pump action hand sprayer (about £8 on Amazon).
