Transplanting snowdrops

I am moving house and would like to move some of my snowdrops to my new garden. There are now no leaves left on the bulbs, so I can't pot them up "In the green". Is it better to put them into soil without leaves, or let them dry out and plant in the new garden in autumn? These little beauties are nothing unusual but they hold very special memories for me!

Just pot them up, make sure they're watered through summer,  and keep them somewhere shady. Don't let them dry out or they'll wither away.
They'll be perfectly fine in a pot until you're ready for  planting  them into your new garden  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thankyou! I have just transferred them to an aquatic basket which I have sunk back into the ground, so they can stay moist. Now I just have to remember to take them with me on moving day!

Stick a label on them, or a bright piece of ribbon, and make a note on a calendar or in a phone or similar, so that you don't forget them  :)
