Can someone tell me what this tree is

  • Is that photo taken at RHS Wisley at the bottom of Battleston Hill? If so, I'm 99% sure it's Toona sinensis 'Flamingo'. Unmistakeable pink colouration to the leaves as they emerge.

    yes it was taken at Wisley but was fenced off so could nor read what it was. Thanks for the reminder and yes I think your are right

    I've just been given one of these, a baby from a friend's garden.  Only 3' high at the mo but it had the bright pink foliage so I'm looking forward to watching it grow.   
    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
