Seriously though folks, many thanks for your input. How ironic that I handle toxic plants regularly and the first time I feel my health has been compromised comes from a packet of salad from a supermarket
Fishy I was about to suggest you consult our Chef friend but I suppose we both know what he's likely to say don't we - something along the lines of "Take a bag of Asda salad and &*%£ $&& Seriously tho, hope you are OK and no serious after effects
Did the bag have a list of the leaves that were supposed to be in there? They usually do. That might give a clue as to whether it's something unusual but edible, or not.
I'm just a bit concerned as if it's a tomato leaf that's somehow crept into the mix, it could cause problems for some folk who have severe allergies to tomatoes and other members of the Solananum family ... I once worked with a child whose mouth etc swelled badly if he so much as licked a tomato ........
It might be an idea to let Asda know ... they could end up in quite a bit of trouble if there's an allergen in the bag that's not on the ingredients list.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

You can get more than mystery leaves in bagged salad. I don't buy them either.
