Help what’s destroying my honeysuckle

My honeysuckle flowers are being removed by some pesky bug. I usually have tons of beautiful flowers for moths, so the bats can have a feast. This year however something has been cutting my flower buds off and there’s no sign of what could be doing it!

Hi @jenlilemijakey and welcome to the forum :)

Those look more as if they've fallen from the calyx .... if I zoom in I can't see any part of the flower itself left behind .. are the flowers on the ground?

  • Yes they’re on the ground, it’s just puzzling as I’ve just been to my friends mums house and hers are all fine.x

Try giving it a few buckets of water ... plants sometimes drop flowers or fruit if they're dry at the roots.

I'd give it a couple of buckets every other day, poured slowly over the root area so that it soaks in and doesn't run off.  I've just been planting some cosmos, and although the top inch of soil is damp, below that it's like dust, even after all that rain in May.
