When to feed tomatoes ?

I'm a 1st time tomato grower and I'm totally confused as to when I should start feeding them everyone says to start when a truss has set, trouble is what does that mean ? Is that once flowering or when the flowers form a fruit or something else. I'm a nervous ninny about this as I've promised Mrs Wilderbeast a bumper crop, I know I'm clearly a fool 🤯

When the flowers start becoming fruit.  :)

@Fairygirl great, I have flowers on lots of plants now so need to see some little fruits and it's feeding time.

    You'll be fine  :)
Just feed once a week or so. Mine have just been fed, but they're maybe a bit earlier than usual. They're in the greenhouse, having been in the house until quite recently due to low temps.

@Fairygirl I have a greenhouse full (definitely too greedy on numbers but I'm only learning 😮) am surprised how early flowers are appearing but suppose the sooner the better to help with rippening fruits. Am going to remove side shoots from my marmade today, I love the job with all the lovely tomato smell wafting around

We can't grow outdoors here as the climate doesn't suit, but I only have a small growhouse so I can only grow about four plants. Suits us fine though.
I'm tempted sometimes to try putting one or two outside in the most sheltered spot to see what happens, but our overnight temps aren't reliably in double figs through summer, and there's too much wind and rain. I've got a plant in the kitchen just now which was grown on from a sideshoot, so I might chance it - just for the hell of it  ;)

That must be a long party at this time of year in your neck of the woods !  At what time does it eventually go dark ?

    Indeed @ERICS MUM   ;)
Light from about half four in the morning, until about half ten at night just now. Bit later if it's clear skies.
