When to feed tomatoes ?
in Fruit & veg
I'm a 1st time tomato grower and I'm totally confused as to when I should start feeding them everyone says to start when a truss has set, trouble is what does that mean ? Is that once flowering or when the flowers form a fruit or something else. I'm a nervous ninny about this as I've promised Mrs Wilderbeast a bumper crop, I know I'm clearly a fool 🤯

Just feed once a week or so. Mine have just been fed, but they're maybe a bit earlier than usual. They're in the greenhouse, having been in the house until quite recently due to low temps.

I'm tempted sometimes to try putting one or two outside in the most sheltered spot to see what happens, but our overnight temps aren't reliably in double figs through summer, and there's too much wind and rain. I've got a plant in the kitchen just now which was grown on from a sideshoot, so I might chance it - just for the hell of it

Light from about half four in the morning, until about half ten at night just now. Bit later if it's clear skies.
