Pear tree blackened edges of leaves

Hi all,

I was given a bare root pear tree earlier this year and I have noticed it’s beginning to get black marks around the edges of leave. I’m suspecting it could be fire blight (hoping it’s not)! I live in the South East. 

I have attached some photographs. Has anyone experienced this before and is there a way to treat this?

    Is it in a pot or the ground?  How often and how much are you watering it?  If it's in a pot, what sort of soil did you use?

    Hi, 

    The tree is planted in a 60 lt pot with general garden compost, which was brought for the tree. 
    I will admit it was slightly waterlogged at one point a few weeks back as myself and my partner water it on the same day accidentally before the weather heated up.
