Issues with my black bamboo

Good afternoon everybody, I have a black bamboo approximately four years old but is looking decidedly poorly. It is losing its leaves and basically starting to look like a stick (see attached photos) I wondered if anyone has any advice that can help.

    Chilly winds/drying winds/full sun/incorrect depth for container/competition from other plant ( 2nd photo)/insufficient watering ? Unfortunately the list is endless.
    Bamboos will only go for so long before needing re potting or at least a good topping of new compost.
    Have a look at the numerous Bamboo threads on here and see if that will help you.
