Would snails eat laurentia plants? I am hoping the answer is no as I have real probs with snails, eating my cosmos and zinnias. Hunt by torchlight last night and the plants were dripping with huge snails. Trying not to use slug/snails pellets due to wildlife.

There are many ways. Beer trap: Cut a half a liter bottle in half and bury it in the ground near your plant and fill it with cheap beer halfway. That's one of the best and u can also go outside when it's getting dark and kill them one by one or drop them into the trap.
There are many traps available to order online.
There are many great plants and herbs they hate, so u can plant around the plant u want to protect. There are cheap plants they love, that u can plant a bit further to distract them away.
Make sure there are no rocks around or any material like bags on the ground, where they can hide in the morning and stay hydrated.
If u don't start to control the population now, it will get worse. We fought for one year very actively and it's so much better now. Still killing them, as it's a never ending fight. Sorry for the long comment. I hope this helps and fingers crossed u can get rid of most of them.
