Deadheading roses

I have a rose plant for the first time this year, it's a Gertrude jekyll planted as bare root last November. It is flowering beautifully but I was just wondering how to deadhead them. Do I deadhead each individual bloom after it fades, or do I wait till all the blooms on a stem fade and then cut the stem below the lowest flower? Each stem has several buds on.
Thanks.

It's quite a big flower, so I cut each individual one off,as soon as it starts falling or fading. I've got a couple of ramblers,I just chop off the whole bunch
