Problem hole !!

Can anyone identify what creature is coming out of this hole at night and leaving drag marks on the growth by the pond? I have checked , but no poo around that looks like rat lol, which is what I am DREADING,living on my own at 75 years old ! I can't stay up all night watching, and don't have a camcorder--- I have seen a big toad and hears it under the pond, hoping it's him
