Rose bush, what should I pick?

Hey all - I am a real beginner and would love to plant a rose bush in my garden. I don;t want anything that climbs or needs to be supported. I was wondering if someone could recommend a rose bush that's easy to look after for a beginner. I would prefer pink or yellow. I prefer buying online.

I started off with Flower Carpet roses in white, they’re very easy to care for, as described here: https://tesselaar.com/plants/flower-carpet-roses/

Only thing is there is hardly any scent, but I still love mine for being undemanding and so floriferous from June to December.

For a beginner’s rose, I suggest looking at the yellow floribunda Absolutely Fabulous. It’s very easy care, needs no support, has healthy foliage and flowers it’s socks off all summer and into early autumn. It’s a pretty, semi-double bloom form so the bees and other pollinators like it too because it reveals it’s stamens and pollen. It also flowers well from year 1 - some roses take a while, 2-3 years, to perform well. Give it plenty of space and it will reward you with an astonishing performance. However, fragrance is only light, there is always a compromise somewhere with roses!

Once you choose your rose, do feel free to come back and ask for help on how to plant, water and prune it. Happy rose hunting!

For a beginner's pink rose, 'Olivia Rose Austin'. Very healthy and very easy to grow.

I have a pink rose called Natasha Richardson which is fragrant and easy to look after. (Ignore the white rose in this picture, I'd dead-headed mine this morning so had to google a picture)
