Green aphids in apple tree

Hi

i have just realised I have a hell of green aphids in my apple tree. Some leaves are already ruined with lots of eggs underneath.

what can I do to kill them? Going one by one is not an option as there are lots

    How big is the tree?

Then wash them off with a jet of water from the hosepipe or brush them off between finger and thumb if you can reach them.

Thanks. would it damage the leaves or what is more important, the small fruit that is starting to develop?

The aphids are sucking the sap from the tender new leaves.  Jetting them off with water will do no damage.

Some of the fruit will probably fall ... this is known as the June Drop, and is nothing to do with the aphids
