    Sowed some about 7 years ago and they certainly self see here, along with being perennial for a good 3 or 4 years at least, a couple of them are either 7 years old or were replaced by seedlings in the same spot which is entirely possible. They pop up everywhere now, I just yank them out if they are in the way as they can get quite leggy. I havent purposely cut them back, but they have certainly been snapped and broken off aplenty but Ive never really noticed them flowering beyond end of June so not sure if they would respond to it

    Viability will depend on how you stored them and how old the seeds are but it is always worth a go.  I'm constantly surprised at seeds which germinate after years of storage - it can be a bit of a lottery tho I doubt you will get 111 million plants  :D
