Climbing fuschia

Hello
I am on a roll today!
I have been worried about this fuschia. I know I have posted about it before but I guess I still just lack the confidence.
Is it ok?
I still find it hard to hard prune! Even though I know it would often be the right thing to do.
Should I cut this fuschia to the highest growing bud now? Or is it too late?
it seems very late to get going, please reassure me it will be ok.
Thanks.

What does it look like at ground level?
It should have been cut down earlier to the lowest growing bud but you can still do it, it will just flower in July to October instead.
theres some growth on the right side of the picture, is that your lowest buds?
Theyre not climbing fuchsias just ones that get very tall.  It should make about 5’ this year.
You can use the top bits for cuttings.

Guessing it's a Lady Boothby or similar. As already mentioned you should have cut it to the lowest pairs of buds a bit sooner really. Trust me, it will thank you for it. Don't be afraid to cut it back really hard it'll still grow 5-6ft in a year. The lower you can cut it the more it will bush up near the base. I do mine as soon as the buds first start to appear. They then seem to stop growing for a month then really shoot up!

    Thank you. Lyn and Robert.
Next year hopefully I will do it properly. This year I will cut them down as you both advise.
