Recommendations for Snips?

After not quite 8 months of light usage this happened to my felco’s today?



Could anyone recommend any alternatives?

    I think you'd better contact them and claim on the warranty as that seems like a manufacturing defect. The blades should not snap like that especially with their usual high quality.

    I’ve got those and they have been absolute rubbish! They don’t stay sharp v long. 
    I got these after watching a Rosy Hardy using them on a YouTube video (Hardys Cottage plants)

    ARS 300L Pointed Fruit Pruner 



    They sell them on the nursery site and also on Amazon. Very sharp and stay sharp.

    Felco have a 12 month guarantee. Send them back.

    I bought a second pair not being overly impressed by my original, and cheap, Niwaki ones. I went for Darlac as they were the winners in a Garden Answers review. I’m not surprised; they’re excellent. My only complaint is that they do not have a neat way of hanging them up in the shed.

    I agree that's very poor and not what you'd expect from Felco.
    You should complain they have their brand name to uphold.

    I've had the ARS snips for about 4 years now and have been very pleased with them.
    A forum member recommended them on the forum a few years ago after visiting a famous garden and she asked the workers who were pruning plants what they used and was told they all use the ARS snips for most light pruning

    Thanks, the warranty on the felco’s is 24 months....

    It looks from their website though you have to go through an intermediary? 

    Tempted to move over to the ARS and if felco come through in the warranty maybe keep those as second pair.
