Climbers for a pole

Hi, I'm still learning what works where in my garden and have a question 🙂. We have two massive metal washing line poles in the back. Garden is south facing with a 6 foot wall one side, an 8 ft hedge at the back and small fence on the other. The pole us therefore partly sheltered but isn't against any feature to be totally sheltered, on the plus side therefore if gets sun.
I have jasmine successfully growing up one, but was wondering about a winter clemetis for the other, since I see it from the kitchen window. Any advice?
