    Well, the mare's tail has been a nightmare.  I've burnt it, poured boiling water on it, put acid on it, tried combinations.  You think you've got everything, but no......it somehow returns.  They should check its DNA for markers for eternal life !  Sounds like Phalaris is of the same ilk.  Though I've had limited success with vinegar solutions.

    Blimey, using those poisons will render your soil dead, you might as well use Agent Orange.

    In fairness, this was mainly in the front garden, on which we have stones, above visquene..  Only used the vinegar in the back garden
