Watering grass

Hello, I am new to gardening. I just bought a new property and had a new lawn laid at the beginning of May. I watered as instructed and yesterday cut it for the first time. All going well so far but from Saturday afternoon I am away for 8 days and it will be hot. Will the lawn be ok in that time? I watered it yesterday and today. Will it help me watering everyday until I leave? Thank you, Fiona.

Is there anyone else who can water it, for you,it certainly won't be happy (being nosy, are you going somewhere nice?)
  • Hi there. I have chatted plenty to my neighbours but not sure we're at the stage where I can ask them to water my grass. Off to Wales

Pick up a sprinkler and a timer switch that attaches to the taps, and set it up as soon as possible so that you can make sure it's working fine before you leave.  They are wonderful.. I use them for weeks at a time when I go away with a leaky hose to water my garden.. draped over pots, around the veg, etc.

  • Thank you. I'll try and purchase one before I leave.
