Skimmia problem

hi 😁. Skimmias i keep in a pot have turned yellow, mainly due yo too much sun id say. Can i cut these back hard or should i cut my loses - they are in ericaceous soil in the pot

    Have you feed them with an ericaceous feed?
    It may be a nutrient deficiency or it may be due to overcrowding - are the plants root bound?

  • Hi 🙂. No they arent root bound,checked that 🙂.  im going to cut them back and plant them in a pot on their own yo see if they come back to life a bit more 😁

    From what I've read, yellowing in skimmias is generally caused by too much sun, so putting them in a shady spot is probably the best thing to do.

    Thsnks, i was thinking that would be the cause 😁.  Ive gone for that option. Disguarded the really yellowed part and repotted in shade I’ll plant out again once its revoverec s bit more 👍👍😁
