Large yukkas looking worse for wear since house move

Hi, we have 2 yukkas that have grown from IKEA 2 foot specials to 10-12 monsters now and they were doing fine until a recent house move. Both are in large 20 inch wide by 15 inch containers. One of the heads has fallen off and the upper trunks on couple others is now very narrow and looks weak. The heads are looking poor as well now. Should I look to repotting them maybe in the ground now instead planters or possible chop the trunks down to the mid section where new pups are growing. Any help appreciated and pictures added to see what I mean
