Sweetcorn death or revival?

Hi guys,

This was my first year growing sweetcorn, I sowed too early had them grow big so had to plant then out early and then we had this awful cold windy weather and my plants aren't happy.

I'm not sure if they will recover or if I should cut my losses and empty the bed for something else and call it a lesson learned.

Anyone have experience can let me know what you think?

I'd personally fancy their chances and would give them at least a couple of weeks as the weather is favourable now.

I've had corn yellowing after cold and wet spells,  I'd read the yellowing is caused by the plants inability to uptake nitrogen during the cold.  After giving them some feed  and the weather improving they romped away.
  • @Astro thank you I shall give them some time and hope they recover  :)

I'd also go for the revival attempt and would spray them with a high-nitrogen liquid feed once a week (which they can take in directly through their leaves), also pouring some over the roots.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • I did leave them and they grew perfectly well and all have cobs on them
