viburnum turning yellow

Help!
So far my viburnum has been doing brilliantly in a big pot. I am now getting a lot of yellow leaves. I have been watering and feeding it with tomato feed. I don't know what to do. I will be grateful for advice

Viburnums can get pretty big and probably not ideal in a container for long-term. Do you know what type of Viburnum you have? Perhaps a photo of the plant and the pot will help, so others can see the type of yellowing.

I suspect it is suffering. In four years, your shrub will have grown or want to grow. If you haven't re-potted into a larger pot in that time, it's not able to fill out, root-wise. If you can, plant the shrub out into the ground. Viburnum Tinus is capable of growing to 3 meters in height. Although initially slow growing, once it establishes, it will grow quite fast.

Also, if you are trying to keep it in a container, make sure you use a loam based compost and not just multi-purpose compost. Large woody shrubs don't really need tomato feed. Watering generously and consistently, is more important.

    Thank you so much Borderline
i will move it out of the pot . It will give me a chance to fill it with bedding plants for the summer and then plant something else in the autumn

Tomato food is for fruit and flowers. Your viburnum is probably lacking nitrogen. Also, some liquid seaweed would give it a boost. It may need potting on into a larger container. I have two either side of my front door, I think they're lovely.

I love that plant too. Especially in the winter.
I learned something about tomato feed today. Thank you both
