The final answer to preventing woodpigeons, magpies from getting your bird food.
Simple make a house construction. On two sides (e.g north and east) make solid walls. On the other sides ( e.g South and west) ensure that grill holes do not exceed 2.25 inches. You place the food where birds have to enter the house to feed. A simple solution to a much discussed problem. Add the construct to a pole add a slinky to the pole and squirrel proof as well. No mess .. no rats or other undesirable creatures hoovering up. It works ... blackbirds robin, sparrows, starlings, thrushes are frequent visitors with raisins, dried mealworms and sunflower hearts for all interested parties. Other advantage no worries about your dog eating something that should not be eaten, as mentioned no mess.
