Cherry Blossom tree

We have a blossom tree of around 8 years,liads of blossom this year then the rains came and blew all the blossom off. We have noticed that we have a considerable reduction in leaves this year. What we have look healthy but a lot less of them

Any ideas what's wrong with?

    We lost a lot of leaves in the hailstorms we have had. They will recover, maybe they will not look as good this year.
