soil block maker.

Any one use or got any tips & info on using a 2 inch soil block maker, thinking about using one next season as it may help with my big clumsy hands as I can find pricking out tough at times , and also heavy handed on getting those seedlings/plugs out of those horrid plastic seed trays that I would no longer need to use.

    I haven't,  but I recall Monty Don using one with enthusiasm a few years ago on GW and extolling its virtues.
    He seems to have gone back to using seed boxes since

    One of those good ideas I used for one season then went back to plug trays.  A bit like making mud pies.  If you have young kids around they could be roped in to make the blocks. Just make sure you have plenty of washing powder in.
