Yellow spots on rosemary

Hello, can anyone help me to figure out what’s wrong with my rosemary? The older leaves have yellow to brownish spots. At first I thought it might be only due to the excesses of water we had in the last weeks, but after doing a bit of research I am now worried it might be a fungal or bacterial infection. What do you think, please?
In case of an infection do you think I should dig out the plant or do you know of any effective treatment (potentially not chemical as it is an edible plant)?
Thank you for your help everyone!

Do you mean the tips of some of the older leaves have gone yellow/brown?
If so, that's not a disease of any kind, it's just down to environmental conditions - maybe too wet, or they are just old leaves that will drop off - leaves don't last forever.

So long as the new growth looks ok I don't think it's a problem, and should sort itself out when it warms up and stops raining

Welcome to the forum btw :)

My rosemary had quite a few yellowing leaves after the frosts, but mainly on the ends before it put on new growth. All fine now so hopefully yours is also just suffering a bit from the cold

Thank you for your prompt replies!
I was mostly worried because the discolouration doesn’t look uniform but more mottled.
I am happy to hear that it’s probably nothing to worry about, I am relatively new to gardening and I admit I easily panic when I see something different from my expectations :-)

It might be sage Leaf-hopper damage and not a serious issue on Rosemary. During spring into summer, you will find the beginning of mottling of leaves. It shouldn't harm your plant.

Good morning @irens.loi17 and welcome.  My rosemary did this last year and I was so disappointed as I thought it had had its day.  It has come back this year with a vengeance - green and lush.  The wonders of nature!
