Eating pea shoots

How long can you cut and eat these shoots before letting them grow to get peas and mangetout pods? Is it just once or twice? Can you just keep snipping it if you don’t want pods?

    If you don't want any pods just keep pinching them off, eventually the plants will succumb to mildew but probably not for a few months.

    People usually just grow pea just as pea shoots, normally you can cut 3, times,not then grown on as podded peas

    So cut about 3 times before letting it continue to grow for pods.

    if you don’t want pods keep cutting maybe for months until the plant tires out?

    The ones I grow for shoots in the salad etc I grow in a tub,so it wouldn't be practical to grow them on
