What is this bird?

Query from my friend as her cat brought him into the house. He was rescued and initially didn’t want to leave.

Sparrow.  They can go into shock and take a while to warm up and come round before they fly away.

    It's a youngster.
    Probably a House Sparrow.

Aww nice to know. He seemed friendly but has flown now while the cat was locked in apparently.

He looks rather unhappy about having been brought in by the cat. 😄

Yes, looks like a young house sparrow ... the yellow at the 'hinge' of the beak shows he's still a baby ... probably recently fledged.  He'll get the hang of things soon if the cat stays indoors.  At least he's learned that cats aren't his friends  :o
