Sesleria Autumnalis- anyone got any experience?

Hi everyone,

I'd absolutely love to use Sesleria Autumnalis as a matrix grass in my small, East/slightly South facing front garden.

The problem is the aspect- I'm worried that the grass won't perform well. It gets varied levels of sun throughout the year thanks to some tall trees to the south- if I was to guess I'd think 1/2 hours direct during the winter and 4-5 hours direct during the summer.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Haven't grown it myself, although seen it in many gardens, a lovely grass.
Most sources say full sun or light shade, so you may be pushing it.

    Hey- thanks for your reply.

Yeah, I saw the same. I guess the ambiguity is in the term 'light shade'. How would you define it? The garden certainly gets 'bright indirect' light most of the day.

    Very difficult to judge.
Might be worth trying it, you can always move them.
Now would be a good time to plant, with things due to warm up.
