Tomato Plant Problems

Hi ,

I am looking for some help/advice with my tomato plants.

I have been having issues with them since the first set of true leaves came in. At this point they were in individual pots indoors. One by one they started to develop white splodges on the leaves which eventually caused the leaves to die back. After transplanting them outdoors last week every single plant is affected.

It is now starting out like an almost silvery coloured spot and then turning to white before the leaf dies.

If anyone has any ideas or advice I would really appreciate it.

Too early for them to be outside permanently. It hasn't been warm enough overnight in most of the UK, which has been difficult if you're used to having them outside by around this time of year.
They need temps in double figs [at night] to thrive. Once temps go up, they should produce more new leaves which will be healthier.  :)

If they've been in a window when small, they may have got a bit of sunburn. I pull the blind down during the day on mine as my kitchen [where they are] is south facing. Even if it's only low to mid teens outside, the direct sun is enough to affect foliage if it's near the glass.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thank you so much for your reply.
    I really appreciate the help!

They definitely got a lot of sun when small as the kitchen window gets a lot of direct sun during the afternoon. I had no idea that it could be a bad thing so thanks a million , lesson learned for next time!

And I’ll be more careful in future about when they go outside .. I’ve lots to learn ! Hopefully this lot will be ok as the weather is due to turn better here this week.. fingers crossed!

I think it's to warm up generally, so hopefully everyone will be able to get plants out a bit more.  :)
If you're in a colder area, they generally need to be grown under cover permanently. I can't grow outdoors here for example. Hopefully, you're in a warmer part of the country and it won't be a problem.
