Little conifers drying out

Greetings once again 🍃

I have two sorrow looking conifers. They were lush and green at Christmas and were used as decorations in the house. They slowly lost colour and looked dry. I stood them in water about 2 weeks ago but feel I may have drowned them?
Ive since left them outside , free standing/with drainage.
Maybe they would like to be in the soil?
Many advice would be nice as I could try save them then.

Thank you.

Unsure as to why it is posting my photo side ways. I did try to alter it with no avail.

Looking at those I would say they're beyond saving . :(

I suspect it's too late and they are deceased.

You should have kept them watered, like house plants, since Xmas and the best method is to dunk the whole pot in water till no more air bubbles appear and then let them drain.   This ensures the compost and roots are evenly wet all thru without ever being drowned.

I think they may be a goner but you could try repotting them in fresh compost and a slightly larger pot and see if they recover.  I'm afraid they were probably just bred for the Xmas trade and not meant to be kept.

Oh dear. That’s disappointing. I will put them in the garden and give them a few weeks. if any change, great. If not, then I know what to do if I buy more. Thank you all three that responded.
Ive a few mini conifers, our the 4 I had before, 3 have survived outside. These 2, I shall see.

If you had them in the house for any length of time and they didn't have adequate water, that will have done them no favours. They shouldn't have been 'losing colour' if they had been well watered. They aren't indoor plants anyway, so extra care is needed, and a dry, warm house is everything they'd hate.
If they hadn't come back after a few weeks of proper watering, they wouldn't recover. I wouldn't waste my time with those now. Better to get something else  :)
