Ornamental cherry tree losing leaves

Prunus × subhirtella 'Autumnalis Rosea.  Its dropping all its leaves and I wonder if its to do with the cold spring?  The leaves do have brown spot but i didnt thnk that was enough to kill a tree.  Can anyone help?  its been planted about 16 years.

Possibly stressed during last year's heatwave and drought and then a very cold and bone dry April will add to that stress just when it's wanting moisture to put on flowers and new foliage.   Try giving it a big 15 to 20 litre bucketful of water poured slowly so it soaks in.  Repeat weekly till it shows signs of recovery and again thru any more heatwaves and droughts this year or in future.
